Amazon

Amazon associates - the affiliate scheme of Amazon - is a popular way of making money online. I get the impression that it is one of the first programs - along with Adsense - that people use to monetise their website or blog. It's a well known, respected website that many people use, and the affiliate program is very easy to use. You can create targeted ads using specific items and type of product. Amazon has a huge array of different ways to create your ads, from search boxes you can put on your website, and videos, product clouds, deal widgets.....

You earn money when people click on one of your ads and visit the Amazon webpage and buy something.

From what I have read, they are a bit mean with the commission rates.
I have had Amazon on another website I have, and have not earnt anything! I have Amazon.uk on my other website - maybe I should switch to another Amazon country site to promote.

I'll have a tinker with Amazon, and add it to my list of 80. For a a start, I've added a serach widget, which you can see on this blog.

March earnings

Another month - March - has gone already. I have earnt a similar amount to February.

I still have around 25 money making ideas so far! I've added a few more.

I easily achieved my target with the cashback sites. I have eleven on my list, and made over £100 combined on them, meaning that on average I earnt 30p + every day on each one.

I've had a go on Mylot, and earnt about £3 in March.

Again, I earnt about $13 on Google adsense: still near my unambitious target of 30p a day.

Ebay was a good earner and is easily above the £9 a month target.

As for last month, If I take my month's earnings and divide them by 25, then I have earnt around £9 for each one, which is on target! I now need to find more ways of earning £9 a month!

As other people may have found, I have found a few favourites that seem to work and are easy to use. I have dabbled with a few others and found them difficult to use, or have not had the time - or found them to be useless! Because of time constraints and because of "routines and habits" I am concentrating on a few programmes. So, I must try to give a few more programmes more time, and continue to add more schemes to my list. Some passive income money makers would be great......!!

Friend Finder

Friendfinder is a large group which is now owned by Penthouse.

They have a number of dating websites ranging from Friend Finder to Christian dating. They also have some more adult orientated sites - Adult Friend Finder, webcams and soforth.

It's a respectable company and you have a lot of sites to promote. Each site is treated differently, so you will only get paid when you reach the payout amount in one specific niche. If you promote six sites, then they will be treated as six seperate accounts, so it's best to concentrate on one or two programs.

You can be paid per click, a percentage of the money spent by the person you refer, or a specific amount. I always go for the percentage as you will get more money if they spend more in the future.

I'd recommend Friend Finder or one of the other dating sites. It's up to you if you want to delve into the more adult sites!

I'll add this to my list!

Centsports

Here's an interesting new site! Centsports is a US betting site where you can win money but do not lose any!

They give you 10cents to start off with. If you get up to $30 and lose it all, then you can start again and they give you another 10cents. After you have made your bet, you can increase your potential winnings by watching a short ad.

Centsports has an affiliate system - your affiliates are called "cronies"! - and you earn 5% of your affiliate's earnings.

I'll give this one a go - it sounds fun! - and add it to my list. I'll tell you if I have made any money - i.e. at least £9 a month - later on.

Join Centsports and start betting for FREE!

Dooyoo

Dooyoo is a site where people review things. Anything can be reviewed - from chocolate bars to DVD's, from local restaurants to Charles Dickens novels: the choice is yours!

It's a friendly site, and it's quite easy to submit reviews. Other people rate your reviews, and you get paid every time someone leaves a comment on your review.

Payout is £50, which is easily achievable, The payout system was changed recently and you get 50p per review - which has led to some people submitting lots of reviews!

It's similar to Ciao (but a bigger earner I think), and you can paste your Dooyoo reviews onto Ciao.

I can easily make more than £9 on Dooyoo (considerably more in fact!), so I have added this to my list, and suggest you join up,

Review of my earnings so far

"How are you doing so far?" you may ask!

I have around 25 money making ideas so far; another 55 to find!

For the month of February:

I easily achieved my target with the cashback sites. I have eleven on my list, and made over £100 combined on them, meaning that on average I earnt 30p + every day on each one.

I've just started Mylot and have 50c in my account! On Bux.to I earnt a few pence from testing it out, but I have just started this and need to get some referrals.

The Moon real estate idea predictably earnt nothing. I need to be a bit more pro-active on this one!

I earnt 30p in the month of February on Friend Finder - not every day but for the whole month, unfortunately! Perhaps getting my referral link on a website that people look at would help....

Dooyoo was a good earner, especially with the new payment scheme. I earnt £40 + for the month for this. I'll do a post on this in the next few days.

No one joined Winzy using my referral link and won me an Ipod unfortunately.

I earnt about $13 on Google adsense. Not much, but near my unambitious target of 30p a day.

I earnt around £10 from Voxant. Not much, but again a step in the right direction and around 30p a day.

I received a cheque from Global Test Market. The survey sites are quite good. Onepoll offers at least an £7-8 a month. Yougov sends lots of surveys. It's Your View sent £12 of surveys in one day!

I have no idea how to use Squidoo. I have about $1 in my account. Maybe I should make some more lenses and put the link everywhere!

I managed to earn around £60 from Ebay in February, so that is one scheme that is above the £9 a month target.

If I take my month's earnings and divide them by 25, then I have earnt around £9 for each one, which is on target! I now need to find more ways of earning £9 a month!

Mylot

A popular way of making money online is through MyLot. I've heard a lot about Mylot, but never actually knew what it was. Upon joining, I realised it's very similar to Yahoo Answers except you get paid!

I joined and started to respond to a few discussions, and it's actually quite good fun. I'm not sure of the payment system. I responded to a few discussions and had 30cents in my account after 2 days. From reading some blogs it seems you can earn, on average, 50 cents for an hour's work on Mylot. Maybe that time is better spent elsewhere, but the site is quite good fun. You can use Mylot to publicise your websites. I'm not sure what the policy on affiliate links is.

Mylot has a referral scheme where you earn a healthy percentage of your referrals earnings!

I'll test out Mylot over the next month, and I have addded it to my list.

Winzy

Winzy is a search engine which offers you the chance of winning prizes for searching the web.

The prizes include free Ipods, Amazon vouchers and cash.

If you refer a friend and they win a prize, you get one too! So if someone you referred wins an Ipod, you win a free Ipod too!

Personally I still use Google most of the time, and I'm not sure that I could earn £9 a month from Winzy.

But I'll try to invite some friends, and do the odd search and may win something!

There is a Winzy search box on the right of this page if you want to try your luck!

Bux.to

I've decided to do a "paid to click" site, where you get a small amount of money for having a page open for 30 seconds.

I normally hate these types of sites, such as Archerfish, as you have to put a lots of time in just to earn around $0.005 dollars for each click! But I saw bux.to on the Cashinco referrals section; for some reason that suggested that this is more worthwhile than the usual Paid to click site, so I thought I'd give it a go!

With Bux.to, you get 1cent per page viewed, which I think is more generous. Not very, but more generous!

Here is their Earnings Example
» You click 10 ads per day = $0.10
» 20 referrals click 10 ads per day = $2.00
» Your daily earnings = $2.10
» Your weekly earnings = $14.70
» Your monthly earnings = $63.00

The payout is $10.

The trick is to get some referrals!

I'll give this a go - I will have to get some referrals to make my 30p per day - and will add it to my list!
